H.E. Justice Nihal Jayasinghe, High Commissioner for Sri Lanka to the Court of St. James presented credentials to Her Majesty the Queen Elizabeth II at the Buckingham Palace on Tuesday, 28th October 2008. He was taken to the Buckingham Palace in Royal Carriages drawn by four horses; a special regard afforded to the Heads of Missions accredited to the United Kingdom from Commonwealth countries.

After the audience with Her Majesty the Queen the High Commissioner hosted a reception at the High Commission. A large number of invitees representing the Sri Lankan community as well as dignitaries representing the British Government attended to congratulate the High Commissioner. The Right Hon. the Lord Naseby, Co-Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group for Sri Lanka and Mr. Brian Binley, MP was among the gathering.
